Showing Courage in Ukraine With Handfuls of Clay

GORN Ceramics, founded in Kyiv seven years ago, has demonstrated remarkable resilience and creativity amid challenging circumstances. Initially known for producing utilitarian items like vases and bowls, the studio made a significant shift in their artistic expression with the creation of 'Shadows,' a series of clay-and-copper sculptures by Yuriy Myrko. These sculptures, which represent themes of human relationships, death, and spirituality, were displayed at the Saint-Sophia of Kyiv conservation area in 2020. Intended for a week-long exhibition during the Bouquet Kyiv Stage Festival, they remained for three years at the site due to positive reception.
