In Sardinia, a Showcase for Craft and Culture Rises From Ruins

Kyre Chenven and Ivano Atzori have transformed an abandoned farmstead in southern Sardinia into Luxi Bia, a rural sanctuary designed to celebrate the rich culture and history of the island. The property, originally a cluster of ruined houses constructed as a 19th-century furriadroxu, took nearly five years to secure due to Sardinia's complex hereditary traditions. Since 2022, Luxi Bia has attracted visitors eager to experience local Sardinian culture and the natural environment. Chenven and Atzori moved from Tuscany to Sardinia in 2014, drawn by the island's layered history and unique cultural identity that has been shaped by its isolation from mainland Italy. Their efforts have revitalized the once-abandoned farmstead while staying true to traditional Sardinian architecture and community dynamics. Extracted by: https://Janestrinketonline.com.
